Inzamam-ul-Haq, Ex-Captain of Pakistani cricket team has expressed his anger and disappointment on the decision of PCB for not naming the captain of world cup squad even after announcing the official squad for the world cup.

He says that it is creating divisions amongst within the team and this is very dangerous for the stability of the team and it will destabilize the team during the current tour of New Zealand and it will also dent the spirit and game plan for World Cup.

Comparing both the professionals, Misbah-ul-Haq has scored seven 50′s in his recent international matches, that too within 7 straight innings. He is captain of test side -Pakistan was able to draw a test series vs South Africa in UAE under his captaincy and won a test series against New Zealand by 1-0 whereas Shahid Afridi is captain of limited over team since past one year.

Under the charge of Shahid Khan Afridi Pakistan has recently been badly defeated by New Zealand by nine wickets in their opening game of the 6 One Day International matches series. New Zealand was on streak of losing eleven matches in a row but then again the confused, divided, and under pressure team of Pakistan helped them to break that streak very handsomely. Therefor such statistics are making things more worst for the Pakistan Cricket Board to decide the future of Pakistan for the upcoming World Cup which now approaching very near.

Inzamam-ul-Haq was the captain of that particular Pakistani cricket side when they had a disastrous cricket world cup of year 2007, in which they were eliminated from the tournament at the very first round after a decider that they lost to Ireland, and later the tournament was made worst when the mysterious death of their coach Bob Woolmer suddenly took place.

Inazamam-ul-Haq further said that there are only three weeks remaining in the beginning of World Cup 2011, and Pakistani team has no captain and the only blame goes to the Pakistan Cricket Board for creating such fuss which has literally divided the team into two groups, one which is supporting Shahid Khan Afridi and other group supporting Misbah, now even one if them is named captain sooner or later, the team may not play with honesty and if Pakistan make another exit before the quarter finals in the World Cup, people will only accuse the players without knowing that the real blame goes to the board.

And that’s not all, Inzamam-ul-Haq also criticized the issue that PCB did not consult Coach of the team Waqar Younis nor current captain about the squad selection. He said that a team without a captain can not make a proper strategy, the team is currently playing one day series with New Zealand but they don’t know who will be their captain in the World Cup which is very damaging.
