Moving down the Oscars Favorite “Social Network”; the Best Film Award goes to “The King’s Speech”, at the Producers Guild America Awards.
With other Nominations for the Best film: 127 Hours, Inception, Black Swan, The Fighter and The Kids Are All Right, The British Film took the award. The film revolves around the story of King George VI.
This ceremony is just a smooth flow towards the biggest event happening on the 27th of February, The Oscars.
Colin Firth, the star of the film, has already been the choice of the jury for the Golden Globe award.
Following the Screen Actors Guild Awards for four nominations, on the January 30th,in London; Tom Hooper’s film has also been nominated for the 14 Bafta Film Awards, held on the 13th of February.
The story of King George VI is marvelously captured; by showing the battle for overcoming an incapacitating stumble, with the (–foul word(s) removed–)istance of an anarchic speech therapist. This is rolled by Geoffrey Rush.
The role of Queen Elizabeth is played by Helena Carter, as the King’s wife. Queen Elizabeth is later known as Queen Mother.
The nomination for the Academy Award are to be announced on Tuesday, which now may bring The King’s Speech into some action; after winning at the Producers Guild of America Awards.
The Top Prize of the best film also considers The Social Network; but the best actor category names Colin Firth to take the Award.
Other Films to be awarded at the Producers Guild were Toy Story 3 for the Best Animated Feature, and Waiting for Superman for The Best Documentary.
Mad Men made the Hat-rick, by winning for the Best Drama Series in Television. The Best Comedy Award went to Modern Family. The Best Mini Series or the TV movie Award went to The Pacific.
