Every single day there is always a bad news that comes out from anywhere in the world today. After earthquake hits Haiti, Flood in the Philippines, Australia, Brazil, and Saudi Arabia, now scientist has predicted that a superstorm is about to struck California, USA and will cause a damage of around $300 billion to $400 billion.

The scientists are certain that the superstorm is not impossible to happen again because it happened already in the past, about 150 years ago. The study was made by U.S. Geological Survey with group of scientists. They said that this phenomenon is like a plot of an apocalyptic action movie.

Director Marcia K. McNutt said that a 300-mile stretch of the Central Valley was inundated from 1861-62. A flood that covers the city quickly and completely.  Even larger storms happened long time ago dated 212, 440, 603, 1029, 1418, and 1605, according to geological evidence.

The said superstorm is about to happen due to increasing temperatures in the atmosphere. Furthermore, scientists said that the superstorm could last about 40 days and accumulate 10 feet of water in the state. A 125 miles per hour winds will cause landslides and intensify the damage.

Climate researchers added that a superstorm happens once every 100 or 200 years or so. Though, it’s hypothetical but not improbable.

The federal and state emergency management officials call a conference about emergency preparation for possible superstorm.

California is one of the advance countries in the world. Their economic influence extends hundreds of countries worldwide. If this will happen to California, another recession will, may be, hit the whole world again.
