Matt Mullenweg the man behind the development of WordPress, the world’s largest self-hosted blogging toll on the web and one of the proponents of free and open source movement have already done his share in the advancement of blogging.

New development have been announced by WordPress just recently they challenge all bloggers to post daily in 2011.

The main purpose of WordPress is to encourage bloggers to write in a daily basis to enhance their writing skills. It is also an encouragement for people use less social media and create more content of their own.

WordPress have also done tremendous progress in mobile platform, two months ago they announced that WordPress mobile apps has over 1 million users. Smartphones like iPhone, Blackberry, Android and Nokia have already WordPress blogging on the go.

It is available in their wordpress hosted blog, Their is also a guide with daily tidbits and advice about blogging.

In order for a blogger to participate they need to state their intentions then tag posts with “postaday2011” or “postaweek2011”.
Posting daily will also keeps our site from falling away but we have to consider always the quality of our content and not the quantity of it. As a bloggers role “Content is King”.
