Ever since David Beckham joined LA Galaxy, the premier league teams have been awaiting for the well known and talented player. The premier league teams are waiting for the decision of Los Angeles Galaxy whether it will release the superstar for a loan contract or not. Tottenham is amongst the teams that have been keen and eager to welcome the star.
Apart from the interest of teams, the player himself is very much interested to join the Tottenham Hotspurs. This fact was explained by the manager of Spurs Harry Redknapp. He also elaborated that Newcastle and Blackburn are also waiting for the decision of LA Galaxy.
Considering the fact that the soccer season league resumes on 15th March, the 35 year old star is expected to play 11 games. The spokesperson of David Beckham said that they are waiting for the decision of LA Galaxy. He said that this loan deal will be short term. He further said that Beckham would join LA Galaxy back after this short term deal and play full season with LA Galaxy. He also said that the loan deal is also David’s desire to keep fit for the England team.
This move is similar to the AC Milan move that was also designed to improve Beckham’s chances on getting back into the team. The England manager Fabio Capello has advised the former England captain to return to Europe and prove his level of fitness.
The Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean said that Rovers is interested in Beckham in regard to the short term loan deal. While a similar statement was made by the Newcastle boss Alan Pardew on Sunday, although he admitted that the deal was unlikely to occur.
The exciting thing about the move to Spurs would be the first match that Beckham will play against his first club-Manchester United on 16th January at White Hart Lane. This January transfer window has been considered by Blackburn more effectively rather than Spurs. Rovers manager Kean said that if Beckham comes to England than, he is one player that Blackburn considers positive for the team.
The Newcastle boss Pardew said that we need an offensive player and he is the most likely person available in the market, but he believes that he is a good option but not the final one. The role of Tottenham in this regard is of importance since the former England captain trained in Tottenham before he first signed his professional deal with Manchester United.
The good thing about the 35 year old player is that he is very optimistic about playing the game for two or three years more. He said that he loves the game and he is enjoying the game just as he did when he was 25.
