It was commonly used by western forces in gathering pictures of vital military installations. This is the first time that the incidents was reported although there have been previous incidents of shooting down reconnaisance planes.

Iranian Military further claimed that those drone captured before was now used by their elite forces in gathering information. In August they are claiming that they have their first ever made drone the Karrar but their is no independent confirmation of their claim.

The United States together with the Jewish State of Israel is one of the targets of the Iranian Military and they are accusing of them of interferring their internal affairs.

Some analysts says that when Iran will be attacked by either United States or Israel it would retaliate by blocking the significant Strait of Hormuz which is the gateway of all the merchant ships coming to the Persian Gulf. Economies of the world would be affected if this happens for almost all countries are consuming oil from the different Gulf States.
