PNP Chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa Gives Message To His Critics Over #BatoResign

The Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa” gives a message to his critics over the hashtag #BatoResign.

The hashtag #BatoResign urges the PNP chief to resign his position due to the assassination of the Korean Businessman Ick Joo Jee inside the Camp Crame. Netizens used this hashtag to expressing their sentiments regarding of what happened.

Dela Rosa was urged by netizens to resign on the position and accusing him as an irresponsible chief of police. Social media users refer to the death of the Korean businessmen inside the PNP chief premises.

Many netizens were disappointed and blamed the PNP chief regarding the killing incident inside his premises. While there are also some people who believe that Dela Rosa has nothing to do with the incident.

Some people doubts Dela Rosa’s integrity in performing his task properly as the PNP chief. Bato explained that he was doing his job properly and sometimes he can’t even sleep just to perform his responsibilities. He is also willing to resign on the position if ordered by the president.

“This is probably the most unwelcome wake-up call for Director General Ronald de la Rosa. Having said that, the PNP leadership should lose no time in addressing the issue by henceforth, hammer and tongs against all rogue cops who only care about their person gains to the detriment of the entire police organization,” said by Senator Panfilo Lacson quoted by ABS-CBN.

Some senators have also negative feedback against Dela Rosa including Senator Koko Pimentel, who challenged the PNP chief to clear the name of the Philippine cops but there’s no valid reason to call on Dela Rosa’s resignation.

The PNP chief also warned the cops nationwide to stop their illegal activities and to do their task properly. He also apologized for the actions of some corrupt police but he assured that the police force was still under his control.
