Top Websites In United States Including Twitter, Spotify Hacked!

The FBI probe is underway to identify the hands behind the hacking of the top websites in the United States, including the widely-used Twitter and Spotify.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is now conducting an in-depth investigation on the wide cyber attack of the top websites in the United States (US).

Dynamic Network Services, Inc. (Dyn) which manages the internet traffic was initially hacked resulting for many top websites in the US to bog down.

These top websites include the microblogging site Twitter, Spotify, Reddit, Netflix, PayPal, Github, CNN, The Guardian, Wired People and HBO are among the dozens of popular websites brought down by hackers.

Users reported that they were unable to access PayPal, AirBnB, Pinterest and the PayStation Network.

These websites bogged down several times in just one day and millions of users across the United States were affected.

According to Dyn, their system infrastructure was hacked by Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack which initially affected the Eastern America but later spread to Midwest America and California.

But it was believed that the hacking did not only affect the United States because some European users also reported that they cannot access their accounts.
