Senator Trillanes has earlier challenged Gordon to apologize to De Lima for falsely accusing her of hiding Edgar Matobato.
Senator Richard Gordon remains firm in his refusal to apologize to Senator Leila de Lima following the outrage in the later part of the investigation of the Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights on extrajudicial killings under the Duterte administration.
Senator Gordon emphasized that what Senator De Lima has done, that is walking out in the middle of the Senate inquiry, can be considered as unparliamentary.
Senator De Lima has not stopped herself from walking out after being accused by her fellow senators that she is hiding one of the witnesses, Edgar Matobato, who is a self-confessed member of the Davao Death Squad (DDS).
In the Monday hearing, it was found out that Matobato had been charged of Kidnapping, which he had also told during his first appearance on the witness stand but was not given any emphasis.
However, Senator Gordon clarified that the senators are not uniting to go personal and be against De Lima.
