A college student from a university in Iloilo was saved from sure harm after proving that a woman’s strength cannot be underestimated.
An unnamed student of a university in Iloilo City became her own hero after surviving an abduction attempt on a rainy September 27, Tuesday evening.
On the official Facebook account of Aksyon Radyo Iloilo, a picture of a female college student with a stained uniform was posted.
According to the radio network’s post, the picture was grabbed from the original Facebook account of the victim who is a student of the University of San Agustin (USA) in Iloilo City.
The student, who is kept anonymous for safety purposes, posted on her Facebook wall that after their class’ dismissal which was before 6:30 p.m., she discovered that there was flooding around due to the heavy downpour of rain brought by Bagyo Helen.
It prompted her to walk from the university going home.
While walking on the sidestreet near the Iloilo Doctors Hospital, amidst the heavy rains, two men on-board a black Honda Civic grabbed her her, and tried to get her into the car.
The original post was captioned: “Around 7:00 pm while walking from San Agustin to Doctors this incident happened. Our class ends before 6:30 and from the gate baha na. So I decided to walk na lang kahit sobrang layo papunta ng bahay (Fundidor).”
