DOLE or The Department of Labor and Employment has reminded all that August 29, which falls on Monday, as regular holiday nationwide by virtue of Proclamation No. 1105.
All employees that will report for work on Monday, August 29, 2016. DOLE showed up to the public to remind all employee that will report on works to a regular holiday is entitled to receive 200 percent of his or her basic wage for the first eight hours.
But If the employee did not work, he or she shall be paid 100 percent of his or her salary on this day
The information was confirmed by the labor chief. This was after the Former President Benigno Aquino III declared August 29 as a regular holiday nationwide by virtue of Proclamation No. 1105.
