Mayor Duterte Still Leads the Latest Pulse Asia Survey

The tough-talking mayor of Davao City, Mayor Duterte is still leading in the results of the latest Pulse Asia survey sanctioned by ABS-CBN. Mayor Rodrigo Duterte kept his 33% rating for a 2nd week in a row, in the April 26-29, 2016 survey. Former survey leader independent candidate Sen. Grace Poe comes is now in third place with 21% which is one point shy of her previous 22% rating but statistically tied with Mar Roxas.

The Pulse Asia survey percentage of Mayor Duterte proved once and for all that the latest controversy involving the leading presidential candidate did not affect his standings in the Pulse Asia ratings.

Administration standard bearer Mar Roxas is in a statistical tie for second place behind Duterte with 22%, 2 points up from his previous rating of 20%. Mar Roxas is statistically tied with Sen. Grace Poe because of the margin of error at 1.5%. A total of 4,000 respondents were polled in the latest ABS-CBN Pulse Asia survey

Vice President Jejomar Binay polled 17%, 1 point down from his previous 18% rating, he was considered previously as the most dominant candidate based on the previous Pulse Asia survey but his percentage went down during the past few months. Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago got a 2% rating for the 2nd week in a row.

Mayor Duterte still leads Mindanao, keeping his 58% rating from the previous survey and also led the National Capital Region (NCR) with 40%, up from his 34% rating in the previous survey. The NCR has 6,253,249 registered voters for the 2016 elections while Mindanao has 12,629,265.

Mayor Rody Duterte is also the favorite of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) ABC and the biggest voting bloc D (37% and 33%, respectively) while he shares the statistical lead in Class E with Roxas (31% and 24%). The survey covered both urban and rural respondents, who were adults 18 years old and above, and are also registered voters with biometrics.
