A pediatric dentist identified as Dr. Gian Paolo Duterte slams national media and Sen. Antonio Trillanes after his name was dragged in the controversy involving Mayor Rodrigo Duterte who was accused having numerous properties from different parts of country.
Dr. Gian Paolo Duterte expressed dismay after his name was dragged to Duterte controversy, after his property in Cagayan de Oro City was listed among the properties alledgly owned by the family of the presidential race front runner Rody Duterte.
The dentist Duterte took to Facebook on May 2 he made the following statement on social media: “It is unfortunate that my name has been publicly mentioned in the GMA7 news report last April 29, 2016, of which Senator Antonio Trillanes IV accused Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte and his family of possessing illegally amassed properties,” the dentist said.
According to the dentist, Gian Paolo Duterte revealed that he is not related to the mayor, and he obtained the real estate property cited in the reports by GMA-News after securing a loan from the Bank of the Philippine Isalnds.
Sen. Antonio Trillanes earlier accused Duterte of hiding over P200 million in an account at the Julia Vargas Avenue, Pasig City branch of the Bank of the Philippine Islands.
”It is unfortunate that my name has been publicly mentioned in the GMA7 news report last April 29, 2016, of which Senator Antonio Trillanes IV accused Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte and his family of possessing illegally amassed properties,” the dentist said.
