The retiring Kobe Bryant became the leading vote-getter for his final NBA All-Star Game appearance while Kahwi Leonard and Kyle Lowry got some significant votes and join the veteran all star in the starting line up for this year’s all star game to be held outside of the US.

Kahwi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs will start in his first All-Star Game while Kyle Lowry will start on his home court in Toronto. Kobe Bryant became the over-all vote getter with 1.9 million votes and selected an All-Star for the 18th time joining the likes of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with the most number of all star selections.
NBA MVP Stephen Curry was also one of the top vote-getter in the NBA All Star with 1.6 million votes, he will be joined by Kobe Bryant, Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, and Russell Westbrook in the NBA West All Star.
The NBA East All Star Cleveland’s LeBron James, Indiana’s Paul George, New York’s Carmelo Anthony, Raptors Kyle Lowry and Heat’s Dwyane Wade will lead the Eastern NBA teams in this year’s NBA All Star.
The reserves will be voted by the head coaches in each conference and be announced next Thursday.
