According to the JTWC on Monday, the tropical cyclone Bavi will most likely making a landfall in the eastern coast of Quezon Province before hitting the provinces of Laguna, Rizal and Southern Metro Manila areas.

Although the tropical cyclone is forecast to affect Metro Manila and nearby provinces, the JTWC, however, said that the weather disturbance will be weaker when it hits the Philippine Area of Responsibility and there’s a possibility that it might dissipate.

The international weather bureau also estimate that the tropical cyclone Bavi will bring moderate rains to the Bicol Region by Friday and will be felt in the Quezon, Laguna, Rizal, Cavite and Metro Manila areas by Saturday morning.

Once the tropical cyclone Bavi will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility it will be called as Bagyong “Betty” by Tuesday and is expected to have peak sustained winds of just around 64 kilometers per hour before its landfall.

Bagyong Betty was last spotted 292 nautical miles west of Guam and is moving west at 11 knots.
