Filipino-Chinese actor Richard Yap said in an interview with “Tapatan Ni Tunying” aired on Thursday December 11, 2014, that he wants Anne Curtis or Dawn Zulueta as his leading lady for his upcoming project in ABS-CBN network.
The Kapamilya actor told the host Anthony Taberna that he will be starring again in a new TV series. However, it was not yet finalized and he will take a month-long rest before working again.
“Magpapahinga siguro muna ako ng one month. Nag-iisip na sila ng istorya ng isang teleserye para sa akin na baka simulan sa Pebrero. May ideya na sila pero wala pa ‘yong buong kuwento at cast,” he said.
Richard Yap, who is best known for his tandem with Jodi Sta. Maria in the defunct top-rating series “Be Careful With My Heart,” said that he wants to be paired with either Anne Curtis or Dawn Zulueta.
The 47-year-old actor also said that he wants to delve into action, citing the works of Liam Neeson and Daniel Craig, who is popular for his role as the secret agent James Bond, as the actor he looks up to.
Richard Yap clarified that he is not “picky” on projects although he has preferred roles and tandems. He said that he has already accepted that the roles for him is limited.
Meanwhile, Richard Yap is now promoting his entry for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), “The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin,” which also stars Vice Ganda, James “Bimby” Yap and Alex Gonzaga. The comedy film will be released nationwide on December 25, 2014 together with other entries.
