The two finalist of the recently concluded The Voice Kids Philippines, Lyca Gairanod and Darlene Vibares have something in common, they experienced poverty, one of the most common similarities among the two future singing stars of the country. Lyca and Darlene shared during an interview with Rated K on how they fought against poverty.

Although the two were considered having similarities because of their wonderful voices and singing abilities, they were also similar in some other ways. They both fought against poverty and survived with the help of their immediate family members.
According to the two finalists of The Voice Kids, poverty did not stop them from conquering their dreams and they considered it as a challenge. Both Lyca Gairanod, a former scavenger who used her talent to earn some meager income, and Darlene Vibares a daughter of a poor family, shared their experience before they become popular.
Korina Sanchez, the host of the top-rating show, “Rated K” interviewed the two finalist of The Voice, as they shared their memorable experiences in life, the two young singers revealed how they fight against poverty at an early age.
Aside from living on poverty during their early days, the two sensational artists and finalist of The Voice Kids Philippines are also named as the Nora Aunor and Vilma Santos of their generation.
