The Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) announced on Monday, July 21, 2014 that the rotating brownouts in Metro Manila and nearby provinces will continue as power supply continues to remain tight. The 3-hour rotating brownouts will start at around 10:00 AM today.
In an official announcement released by Meralco spokesman Joe Zadarriaga, through DzMM, he noted that the rotating brownouts continue today, July 21, 2014. He was quoted as saying “Meron tayong schedule na brownouts today… We have advice from system operator NGCP that will be having a three-hour outages sa araw na ito sa certain period of time.” he said.
According to Meralco, the company is now working to restore electricity for the remaining 13,000 households in Metro Manila who are affected by brownouts. For the entire franchise areas of Meralco, they noted that there are still 280,000 accounts are without power.
Aside from the announcement of the three hour brownouts, Meralco also gave the details of power interruption starting from 10:00 AM of July 21, 2014.

METRO MANILA – Caloocan, Makati, Malabon, Manila, Navotas, Pasay, San Juan, Valenzuela and Quezon City (Bago Bantay, Balintawak, Greater Fairview, La Loma, Mabuhay, Novaliches, San Bartolome, San Jose)
PAMPANGA – Apalit
The following areas will experience power interruption from 11a.m. – 2 p.m.:
BULACAN – Marilao, Meycauayan
CAVITE – Cavite City, Dasmarinas, General Trias, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta, Rosario, Trece Martirez City
LAGUNA – Liliw
