Is Jollibee Coming to Tekken 7?

The country’s largest fast food chain, Jollibee will not just only offering value meals as it was announced to venture into fight scene featuring its iconic yellow and red mascot get indulge in the forthcoming installment of Tekken series, the “Tekken 7.”

Based upon the report of tech blog Yugatech, Katsuhiro Harada, the game director and chief producer of Tekken series considers Jollibee to be part of Tekken 7 which will debut in due time.

Some claimed that the director of the popular fighting game gain interest to include Jollibee after he became a fan of the Philippine-based fast food chain.

This is not the first time that the world-renowned game franchise “incorporated” the Philippines’ local culture. One of its series, the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has featured a stage named Coastline Sunset which is set somewhere in Metro Manila.

Tekken series which debuted in 1994 is considered as one of the most popular fighting game which was created and developed by Namco Bandai Games. Aside from gaming consoles, the fighting game also landed into big screen.

Jollibee on the other hand is a multinational fast food chain based in the Philippines which is owned and managed by Tony Tan. The leading fast food chain has an over 2,500 stores worldwide. With its overwhelming success, Jollibee acquired its competitors including Chowking, Mang Inasal, Greenwich Pizza, Red Ribbon and Burger King.

Jollibee Foods Corporation has yet to issue an official statement regarding the report.
