Rowell Villones: Pinoy Singer Enters “The Voice Ireland” (Video)

A Filipino working in Ireland named Rowell Villones enters the reality singing competition “The Voice of Ireland” after he succeeded in the blind audition of the top-rating reality singing competition.

The 41-year-old Rowell Villones song the song “Nella Fantasia” the song popularized by Sarah Brightman during the audition of show. One judge of the show Niall Breslin, also known as Bressie, turned around for Rowell Villones and send him through the next round.

Judge and mentor Niall Breslin chose him and was quoted as saying “It was note perfect. There was no pitching issues. You knew the song inside out, but you were so comfortable,” Bressie said.

Another judge of The Voice of Ireland, Kian Egan, the former member of Westlife, also complimented with Rowelll Villones performance. He was quoted as saying “Very nice performance indeed. The most enjoyable moment out of this is Bressie’s going to work with an opera singer,” he said.

Rowell Villones is the latest Filipino who tries his luck in the international competition after the recent success of X Factor Israel grand winner Rose Fostanes. Other Filipinos who made a name for themselves internationally were Joseph Apostol of The Voice UK and Cheesa Laureta of The Voice USA.
