President Barrack Obama to Visit the Philippines on October, 2013

One of the world’s most powerful leader, US President Barrack Obama will visit the Philippines in October as part of the four-nation tour that will include his participation in the APEC Summit, the White House stated on Friday.

Aside from the Philippines, President Obama will also visit Indonesia, Brunei and Malaysia from October 6-12, 2013. The statement was made by White House spokesman Jay Carney.

The US President will first attend the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders in Bali, then the US-ASEAN Summit and the East Asia Summit (EAS) in Brunei, and meet with Prime Minister Najib in Malaysia.

The White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said:

“The President will travel to Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia and the Philippines from October 6-12 as part of his ongoing commitment to increase U.S. political, economic and security engagement with the Asia Pacific.”
