Blackwater stunned PBA D-League powerhouse team NLEX on Thursday in the 2013 PBA D-League Foundation Cup scoring a remarkable 70-67 win. The NLEX suffered their first-ever finals lost since the inception of the tournament.
Justin Chua led the Blackwater Elite with 17 points while Mangahas added with 16 points built around his four three-pointers. Although the NLEX Road Warriors got their scoring touches from three of their players but was not enough to secure a win.
Three Road Warriors scored in double figures led by Garvo Lanete with 12 points, Salva and R. Pascual added with 10 points apiece. Prize center Greg Slaughter failed to deliver big numbers as he settled for only 9 points.
