PAG-ASA Bulletin Reported Low Pressure Area East of Mindanao

The Philippine’s weather bureau PAG-ASA reported of a spotted Low Pressure Area East of Mindanao today, February 9, 2012.

The Low Pressure Area is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility estimated at 1,060 km east of Mindanao but it is expected to enter the Philippines within the next 48 hours.

According to the official Twitter account of PAG-ASA “A developing Low Pressure Area (LPA) was spotted East of Mindanao & outside the PAR in the Caroline Islands. It is not yet affecting any part of the country. Details to follow.” PAG-ASA stated on their Twitter account.

The Visayas and Northeastern Mindanao area will experienced mostly cloudy weather with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to tail-end of a cold front.

Particular areas that will experienced a rainy weather is the earthquake stricken islands of Negros and Cebu.
