Had you ever been tag of photos and videos in Facebook that had caused a little trouble in you?
Had you experienced being bullied because of that?
Then, it’s time for all online bully to be minimized as the world’s leading social networking site in a long run had finally came out to new way and scroll over the new privacy options in the site in response to the growing criticisms on how the users security and privacy were protected.
Watch out for the unfolding of the new features and privacy options of Facebook on Thursday, August 25 and get your full privacy even safer.
In the upcoming and added privacy and security settings that will be activated very soon, the users and the owner of each account would be given the opportunity to have the full control on what to appear on their respective walls.
Unlike the previous privacy options on Facebook especially on the case of tagging photos and videos, wherein the tag would automatically appear on the wall, the new feature provides the tag person to take two options either to approve or to remove the tag before it appears to his wall.
Upon the rise of these new measures on Facebook, it is believed and hoped to be the catalyst in maximizing user’s privacy.
Furthermore, it will also prohibit the spread of malicious photos and videos that might ruin and affect the life and career of the tag individual.
Aside from either confirming or removing the tag, other revamp in the privacy settings were to be implemented also such as: In line controls, Tag Takedown, Universal tagging and Profile views.
But how do this works for now?
Basically, In Line Controls provide options like public, friends and custom. These three options will allow the user to control who will be authorized to see those items on her wall. Universal Tagging on the other hand, provides the user to remove tags by doing it himself or asked the one who tag it to remove it or even block the tagger. Location Tagging provides geographic features while Profile View is the feature which will let the users and account owner to check who and how people view his account.
Profile view as reported on bbcnews.com will be located above the newsfeed in your Facebook account homepage.
