As defined, cyber-bullying is a term which refers to the use of modern means of communication such as mobile phones and the internet so as to write text messages or spread posts to harm and affect the reputation of an individual. This usually goes out to the youth in a modern world.
Despite her dominance in the field of singing, the young pop star Charice confessed that she is also one of the targets of cyber-bullying. Recent reports said that the international singing sensation faced a lot of criticisms over the past few weeks that even her fans turned to give negative comments via Twitter and Facebook.
When the international singer was asked about her advice to the young girls who might also been affected by cyber-bullying, Charice replied that everything was only a part of the social media. In her statement, she admitted that she herself gets many negative comments posted in her Facebook and Twitter accounts even at present.
Charice also shares that some people take those negative comments seriously as they become weak in handling those kinds of situation. With that, she also suggests that people affected by cyber-bullying must stand strong for those comments were only “words” that normally comes out of the people’s mouth. According to her, words could not kill anyway.
The singer advised that people must look unto negative comments on its other side. They just have to think that negative messages that were thrown were likewise referred to those who said it.
Previously, the pop singer was able to express her dismay to the negative feedbacks she received via Twitter and Facebook. Charice was hurt that she decided to terminate her Facebook fan page. Comments unlikely spread over the internet especially when she had performed her “As Long As You’re There” performance for Glee’s season finale. She was criticized because she appeared to have gained weight.
On the other hand, the international singing sensation told reporters that she still have that interest of being a part of the Season 3 of Glee with her role being Sunshine Corazon. The Filipina singer shared that she gained a strong friendship from the casts of the famous musical show. And with that, Charice is hoping to remain as a cast of Glee’s next season.
