Among the many rumors that spread in connection to the ladies that were romantically linked to PBA star James Yap, one woman that has been involved is Marie Digby, a Japanese-Irish singer and songwriter.
Digby was approached to speak about the issue but she has denied the speculations saying that she is just a friend of the famous basketball star in the Philippines.
In an interview at Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN), Marie explained that there is no other relationship between them except for friendship. Indeed, she tells the reporters that James became her friend in Facebook because of their mutual friends.
Marie further tells that they both did not even come up to a plan to go out for a date. They only have communication in Facebook.
On her several months of staying in the country, the Japanese-Irish singer also faced a rumor which allegedly tells about her romantic connection with Sam Milby. However, such relationship remains unconfirmed.
Lately, the report spread linking her to the PBA star, James Yap. And again, the singer-songwriter is on denial.
According to Digby, she was able to make a lot of friends in the Philippines. In her statement however, she has that confusion in determining friends from more than friends.
The rumors become more intriguing between Marie and James especially that there had been a report which tells that they were dating in Cebu City last May 29, 2011.
