Carlo Aquino recalled his first movie shoot with Vilma Santos

Kapamilya actor Carlo Aquino dedicated a post to Star For All Seasons Vilma Santos as he reminisced the first day of the shoot that they did for the movie Bata, Bata… Pa’no Ka Ginawa?

The said movie was directed by Chito Rono and written by the late Lualhati Bautista. It was released in 1998 and until now, many people remember the iconic line that the character of Carlo had.

Over the years, the iconic line “Akala mo lang wala pero meron!” was instilled in the minds of many showbiz fans, and in that span of time, Carlo has maintained his bond with Ate Vi.

In a recent Instagram post, the actor shared his photos with the veteran actress. The caption of his post tells a story of how it was for him during the first day of the shooting. Carlo Aquino dedicated this post to Vilma Santos for her 60th birthday.

He shared that during their first day of shoot, their director introduced Ate Vi to them. “Happy 60th anniv sa nagiisang Vilma Santos Recto. First day of shoot ko sa Bata bata. Dumating ka sa set na naka artista van. Pinakilala ka samin ni direk Chito tapos lumapit ka sakin,” Carlo shared.

The actor also recalled what the veteran actress said to him at that time. “Sabi mo “ill be your mom for this film, would you like that”? Halos matanggal ulo ko sa pagtango,” he shared.

Carlo also expressed gratitude to the actress who once played as his mother in the movie. “Salamat sa pagtanggap sa akin bilang si Ojie. Kahit matagal na nagawa ang pelikula natin ganun pa din ang pagmamahal mo sakin. Salamat sa mahigpit na yakap pagkatapos ng bawat eksena. At higit sa lahat salamat sa “Akala mo lang wala,”‘” he said.

Carlo Aquino said that he hopes to work with Vilma Santos once again. “Love you mommy Vi,” he added.
