Sam Concepcion still wants to do more when it comes to his showbiz career
Singer-actor Sam Concepcion talked about his showbiz journey which started 16 years ago and the things he wants to do in the future.
Sam is one of the most versatile artists of his generation. He sings, he dances, and he also did acting and hosting stints. For more than a decade, he enjoyed the limelight and shared his milestones with his fans.
Just recently, based on the article in The Philippine Star, the singer-actor renewed his contract with Viva Artist Center. He said that he still wants to do more in show business. Sam Concepcion is looking forward to having more concerts and challenging roles as an actor.
“But if one would say that I haven’t reached my peak, I think that’s a good thing. Because then, if I have reached my peak, wala na akong ibang kailangan gawin or you know there’s nowhere else to go. And I really feel there’s so much more to do. I have so much more to learn and to experience. And so, I’m in a best position I’ve ever been para sa akin,” he said.
He said that he is the type of artist who is in many lanes. Sam always thinks about what he could do next, like releasing a new song or being part of a theater production and this is a challenge for him every year.
The singer-actor also said that he is open to doing sultry roles. “If it’s tastefully done, if it’s a good material then, you know, I’m also still an actor and I’m willing to act,” Sam said, adding that he also wants to try a dancing competition like Billy Crawford who joined Dancing With The Stars in France.
Sam Concepcion also shared why he decided to stay with VAA. It was in 2019 when he signed his first contract with the said talent management company. For him, having this decision gave him productive growth and so he wants this to continue. Despite almost two years of productivity being consumed by the pandemic, he knows that there are still a lot of things to be done.
