An 8-year-old Boy Died after being Hit by Van While Caroling in Marinduque
The family of an 8-year-old boy will not be enjoying Christmas this year after he was killed when he was hit by a van while caroling in Marinduque.
According to a GMA News report, the victim’s cousin told authorities that they were caroling when the tragedy occurred. They claimed to have crossed the street, but the victim was left behind.
He claimed that his relative abruptly crossed the street and was hit by a van. Val Rosales Jacobe, the van’s driver, was recognized. Following the incident, Jacobe quickly surrendered.
He was escorted to the police station but refused to speak to the journalists. According to the report, the police investigation into the aforementioned occurrence is ongoing.
Meanwhile, a 7-year-old child was injured in Quezon after being hit by a truck on the Maharlika Highway in Atimonan. The boy claimed to have been strolling on the side of the road with his buddies to go caroling when the accident occurred.
The victim is currently in the hospital recovering. The driver of the truck, on the other hand, is still being sought after fleeing. Authorities advise parents not to leave youngsters unsupervised in the middle of the road.
