Tony Award winning actress and international Broadway superstar Lea Salonga made a simple but remarkable message to the Top Four Finalist of The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 noting that the real battle begins after the competition. She was quoted as saying “The real battle begins once you are released into the wild,” she stated.
During the finale episode of the country’s top-rating singing competition on national TV, Team Sarah’s Jayson Dy was declared as the winner of the second season of The Voice PH, after he outscored fellow top 2 finalist Alisah Bonaobra of Team Apl.
According to the 44-year-old Lea Salonga while she is very happy for Jason Dy’s victory, she also congratulated Leah Patricio, Alisah Bonaobra and Rence Rapanot who made it to the elite four finalists.
Lea Salonga noted during the finale show of The Voice that the real battle begins once they are released into the wild and got to compete against them. Although she warned all the finalists about the difficulty in competing against the best in the music industry, she also encouraged them that they have a bright future ahead of them.
The singer and actress also stated that she has no regrets when her bet was not chosen by voters of The Voice, although she lost in the competition, she noted however that she gained a family that will last for a lifetime.
Meanwhile Coach Bamboo Manalac, Apl.de.Ap and Sarah Geronimo they stated that they were really proud of the journey that the finalists have been through on “The Voice.”
