Mark Douglas Dagal Wins The Battle Round Against Vanessa Monot (Video)

Mark Douglas Dagal, a former overseas Filipino worker won the Battle Round of The Voice of the Philippines against Filipina-French singer Vanessa Monot during the Sunday’s episode of the country’s most popular singing competition. Coach Sarah Geronimo assigned the two singers with the Stevie Wonder classic “As,” a song already familiar to Mark Douglas Dagal but the half-Pinay found it difficult to familiarize.

Right after the Battle Round performance of Mark Douglas Dagal and Vanessa Monot, Coaches Bamboo Manalac and Lea Salonga acknowledge the stage presense of Vanessa, but they noted some inconsistencies with her performance.

Coach Lea Salonga and Coach Bamboo was so impressed with Mark Douglas Dagal performance because of his “smooth” and “soulful” rendition of the classic song popularized by Stevie Wonder.

At the end of Mark Douglas and Vanessa’s performance, Coach Sarah Geronimo decided to chose Mark Douglas Dagal to move on to the next round of the competition, the Knockout Stage.
