Cop Arrested after Robbing a Woman Who Allegedly ‘Basted’ Him
A cop was arrested for robbing a woman he allegedly courted after he was rejected or ‘basted’ in Legazpi City, Albay.
A police officer is being prosecuted on both criminal and administrative counts after robbing the young woman and brandishing a gun at her. During the heist, the suspect apparently had a male accomplice who owns a gun.
The alleged culprit was identified as 37-year-old married police corporal Nelson Copino Jr. The suspect is a police officer assigned to the Albay province’s Malilipot Municipal Police Station (MPS).
According to the report of the Legazpi City Police Station, the incident happened in Barangay Mabinit around 7:10 in the evening. The two victims Elsa Cabaco, 24, and at Mark Allen Agao Lodana, 33, were among the judges of the Eco Fashion Show held in the covered court of the said barangay of San Isidro, Ilawod, Malilipot, Albay.
Cabaco went to Lodana’s house before the occasion to touch up her makeup. When she got back to the scene, she caught up with the suspect who had reportedly taken her bag by force while brandishing a revolver.
When the cops pointed a gun at Lodana, she was powerless to assist the girl. It was discovered that the girl had previously rejected the suspect as a suitor. Charges against the suspect are being prepared by the police.
