What’s the story behind this viral photo of Xian Lim and Barbie Imperial?
Kapuso actor Xian Lim was photographed with Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial at a hotel just recently and speculations surfaced that the photo has romantic color.
When the photo circulated online, netizens shared various reactions. Some even were calling out the attention of It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu, the girlfriend of Xian. There were also negative reactions directed at Barbie.
On the other hand, there were netizens who defended Xian Lim and Barbie Imperial against malicious comments. In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, the actor addressed this issue.
“Not guilty. Yun na lang,” the actor said adding that he has no time for intrigues. Despite being face with this issue that trying to paint a romance between him and Barbie, Xian is thankful to those who defended them.
“Pero salamat sa lahat ng mga nagtanggol sa akin. I guess, the news is just absurd. Wala akong panahon para diyan. Sabi ko nga, boring ako na tao, nasa bahay lang ako, nagsusulat. Sa dami ng ginagawa ko, wala akong panahon para diyan,” the Kapuso actor said.
Netizens defended Xian by saying that he and Barbie were in Davao City because they attended a miting de avance and they stayed in the said hotel in Mati.
“Sa mga naniniwala, sa mga gusto bigyan ng kahulugan, kayo ay officially kasama na sa mga grupo ng Marites. Hahaha!” the actor jokingly said.
Xian Lim was not asked about this issue being thrown at him and Barbie Imperial. He was the one who voluntarily opened up about this during the interview on May 17 for his new series False Positive with Glaiza de Castro.
