Veteran actress Boots Anson-Roa and her boyfriend, lawyer Francisco “King” Rodrigo finally tied the knot following their star-studded wedding held in Villa San Miguel Chapel in Archbishop’s Palace, Mandaluyong City on Saturday, June 14, 2014.
The 69-year-old multi-awarded actress blossomed on her ecru gown as she was escorted by her sons Joey and Ben before she entered the chapel. Atty. Rodrigo on the other hand, was ushered by his 99-year-old mother Remedios to the altar.
According to Inquirer.net, Boots Anson-Roa and King Rodrigo nuptials was attended by the country’s famous celebrities including Pilita Corales, Jose Mari Chan, Gary Valenciano, Ricky Davao and Willie Nepomuceno who performed during the reception held in Wack Wack Country Club.
The 75-year-old lawyer is the former Philippine consul general in the US. Atty. King Rodrigo is the son of the late Senator Francisco “Soc” Rodrigo while Boots Anson-Roa works as a mass communication teacher in University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University and Manila Times School of Journalism.
Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, Susan Roces, movie producer Marichu Vera Perez Maceda, Raul de Mesa, Eduardo Roa and Cristina Xerez Burgos were among the principal sponsors of their wedding which was officiated by Cardinal Tagle.
Meanwhile, the couple were also flooded with greetings and best wishes online.
