The latest Star Cinema movie featuring two of the biggest Kapamilya stars Coco Martin and Sarah Geronimo received positive reviews from various entertainment and movie experts in the country. The movie “Maybe This Time,” is also eyed as a box office potential and is set to break the Philippines box office records.
The movie is currently showing in more than 160 theaters nationwide according to Star Cinema. The first on-screen tandem of Coco Martin and Sarah Geronimo for the big screen received rave reviews from the members of the press.
According to Jimi Escala of the Pep.Ph, who commends Sarah’s acting and was quoted “It’s official! Coco & Sarah, d tandem to beat this 2014! Coco, d next box office king. Sarah, di lang pang box office, pang best actress na rin.” the Pep reporter noted.
People’s Tonite and Balita also commends Sarah Geronimo and Coco Martin’s acting in the movie. Pete Ampoloquio from Remate also stated that “Maybe This Time” lead stars are “Poignant & riveting! Sarah & Coco made me cry.”
TV5’s official website, InterAksyon.com author, Pilar Mateo also noted that she never expected the movie would be that good. “We never thought it to be this smashingly good! Sparks are flying from where they are coming from!” the InterAksyon author said.
Tabloid Balita stated that: “Naging tunay nang aktres si Sarah sa pelikulang ito. Si Coco, lalo pang gumaling, kasi mahirap magkontrol ang matagal nang mahusay para maging light lang ang akting.“
Aside from getting positive reviews from the press, the movie “Maybe This Time” already earned more than P20 million during the first day of showing according to the figures released by Star Cinema.
