According to the police report, officers of the PNP-DEG discovered at least six kilograms of suspected shabu in tea bags with Chinese characters in an apartment complex in Barangay Palanan, Makati City. The bust is part of a larger operation, according to PNP-DEG Acting Deputy Director for Operations Police Col. Roel Rodolfo.

According to him, the materials recovered were part of a previous investigation that netted at least two kilos of suspected shabu. Additional research is being carried out to see whether there is any more suspected shabu from the same source.

Meanwhile, the suspects have refused to comment on the situation. The accused might face penalties for violating sections of the Comprehensive Drug Act of 2002, according to anti-narcotics officers.

Meanwhile, an official of an anti-drugs Partylist was arrested with P1million worth of illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Dasmariñas, Cavite. The official of the party-list People’s Volunteer Against Illicit Substances (PVAID) was detained for half a kilo of illegal drugs known as shabu.

The official is the suspected mastermind of the gang that seized illicit substances worth P1 million, according to the NBI. Minors are reportedly used as drug couriers by the organization.
