This year’s edition of Binibining Pilipinas features some of the former candidates who participated previously and are vying to become the next Bb. Pilipinas, the winner will represent the country in various international competitions worldwide.
Aside from Mary Jean Lastimosa and Pia Wurtzbach who were considered as early favorites for this year’s Bb. Pilipinas, there are other candidates who got the experience and previous training during their stint with the country’s most prestigious beauty contest.

Bb. Pilipinas No. 17 candidate Miss Diana Arevalo tried her luck with Bb. Pilipinas during the 2009 and 2011 edition. She was always on the favorite list, but she always ended up as finalist. Diana Arevalo took a break in joining beauty contest and decided to work as a welcome amb(–foul word(s) removed–)ador in one of Macau’s hotel. For 2014, the Mindoro native beauty queen decided to try her luck once again on her third and possibly last Bb. Pilipinas title try.
Dubai-born and raised Filipino-Indian Parul Shah is considered as one of the early favorites during the 2013 edition of Bb. Pilipinas but she ended up with the Top 15 only. On her second try as Bb. No. 4, she will join with former fellow contestant and 2014 Bb. Pilipinas candidate no. 18, Miss Ellore Noelle Punzalan.
Bb. Pilipinas candidate No. 17, Miss Hannah Ruth Sison failed during her first try with Bb. Pilipinas. The freelance multimedia artist is now back with a vengeance.
Former candidate during the 2011 edition of the Bb. Pilipinas, Miss Ladylyn Riva now candidate No. 39 will try her luck this time for Bb. Pilipinas title. Before joining the 2014 edition she tried out with other local beauty pageants, recognized as 1st runner-up in Miss Resorts World and won Miss Casino Filipino title. The native of Aklan Province will try to showcase her experience and now she noted that she is more determined to win the much-coveted Bb. Pilipinas Universe title.
