Trainer Plane Crash in Pangasinan Left Pilot Killed and Student in Critical Condition
A pilot was killed and a student pilot was is in critical condition in hospital after their trainer plane crash in Alaminos, Pangasinan.
After the two-seater Cessna plane they were riding in crashed into the river in Alaminos, Pangasinan, a pilot perished and his student pilot was in critical condition. The incident happened about 9:00 a.m., according to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

The trainer jet left Lingayen Airport for the orientation flight at 8:22 a.m., according to reports. When the tragedy occurred, however, it was less than an hour in the air.
Capt. Daryl Uy, the pilot who died on the site, was recognized. Caran France Kaura, a 21-year-old inhabitant of San Narciso, Quezon’s Barangay Pagkakaisa, was sent to the Western Pangasinan District Hospital for treatment.
The training plane, with the body number RP-C8202 and “Fly Fast” markings, crashed into a fishpond, according to the initial investigation. An Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board team was rushed to the crash area, according to Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) spokesman Eric Apolonio.
CAAP reported last Friday that an Aerohub Cessna 206 plane crashed along the shore in Barangay Tinaguiban in El Nido, Palawan, owing to engine failure. The pilot and the rest of the crew were rescued. The incident is still being investigated by the CAAP.
