Stanislas Wawrinka continued his momentum reaching the Australian Open Finals for the first time as he sent Tomas Berdych back home in their Semi-finals battle yesterday.
After stunning former champion Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals, Wawrinka followed another upset defeating 2010 Wimbledon Finalist Berdych, 6-3,7-6(1),6-7(3),7-6(4).
Wawrinka is now waiting to the winner between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, a much exciting collision as the world expected an all-out battle in their 33rd meeting, the first in the Grand Slam since 2010 Aussie Semis where Nadal won.
The Australian Open Finals will be Wawrinka‘s biggest test in his career as he will become the underdog whoever Nadal or Federer he will fight against.
He never beaten Nadal in their 12 match-ups, while won only once against Federer in 14 meetings.
