Mayor Julieto Flores of Barili stated that it was obvious that health protocols had been broken. As a result, he had no choice but to issue a temporary closure order while the matter was investigated.

“Nakita natin sa video na nagsasayawan ang mga tao ng walang face mask ‘yung iba. Malinaw na mayroong violation,” Flores said.

“They have a business permit but because they failed to implement the minimum health protocols amid the pandemic, we will issue the temporary closure order,” he added.

The video’s uploader will also be required to file an affidavit. The person who uploaded the video is requested to sign an affidavit stating that he watched the video firsthand. Let’s get an affidavit since we need it to move forward with the case.

Meanwhile, the owner of the restobar claimed that due to the sudden rain that night, they were unable to stop the influx of customers. The business owner stated that they are prepared to deal with the probe.

Meanwhile, there was no explanation as to why the majority of customers were not wearing face masks. Barili is a second-class municipality in the province of Cebu, about 61 kilometers southwest of the city.
