The devotees were getting more uncontrollable at the start of the procession also known as “traslacion” as they fight to get near the image even before the m(–foul word(s) removed–) could end.
The procession of the Black Nazarene began after the m(–foul word(s) removed–) presided by Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, some of the devotees were scolded by priests after they attempted to get near the image because the m(–foul word(s) removed–) has not yet ended.
The areas around Manila’s route of the Black Nazarene procession are now crowded, as everyone believes that getting in contact with the image of the Black Nazarene would have their payers answered. Other devotees believes that they have to endure the thick crowd as a way of showing their faith and made it their vow.
