Philippines: Top 20 Destinations for 2014 by Telegraph

Telegraph, one of the popular British newspaper included the Philippines on their list of Top 20 Destinations for 2014 as posted on their online edition at Telegraph.co.uk.

According to the travel writers of Telegraph, they made it clear that the inclusion of the Philippines on their elite list is not a sympathy vote given how the country has suffered from a huge blow following the devastation brought about by super typhoon “Yolanda” (Haiyan).

The Telegraph described the Philippines as “an archipelago made for island-hopping between sugary beaches that receive far fewer tourist than they should,” The Telegraph said.

The Philippines made some headlines in international travel and tourism as the country was also listed a few days ago in the Rough Guide’s List of Top 10 Countries for 2014.
