Dubai Opens Underwater City With 60-Meter Deep Pool
UNDERWATER CITY – In Dubai, tourists can now explore an underwater city as it opens “Deep Dive Dubai”.
At over 60-meters deep, Deep Dive Dubai has become the world’s deepest pool. However, its only a part of an entire underwater city. But how much water could actually be found?
According to an article from Unilad, the entirety of the underwater city holds 14 million liters of water. As such, it makes Deep Dive Dubai four times bigger than any other diving pool across the globe.
Furthermore, the Guinness Book of World Records tagged the attraction as the “Deepest swimming pool for diving”. But, the pool isn’t currently open to the public. For now, its available on an “invite only” basis.
Fortunately, the general public doesn’t have to wait too long as CNN reports that it could open later this year.
Divers can explore the underwater metropolis, which includes ‘abandoned’ submerged city residences and a pool table in the arcade. Meanwhile, different atmospheres will be produced in different regions of the pool thanks to the pool’s cutting-edge lighting and sound systems.
If that wasn’t enough to pique your interest, there’s also an underwater film studio nearby, as well as an on-land media editing studio (since you can’t have a lot of tech underwater).
