Aiko Melendez shared her success story as a mother to Andre Yllana
Actress Aiko Melendez recalled that the hardships that she went through in order to support the education of her son Andre Yllana.
Andre is Aiko’s son with her former partner Jomari Yllana. Through the recent Instagram posts of the Kapuso actress, she expressed how proud she is seeing her son graduated.
On June 13, 2021, Andre graduated with a degree in Automobile Mechanic from Don Bosco Makati. “You’ve made your mother so happy and I couldn’t be more proud of you!” the actress wrote in her IG post.
In another post, Aiko Melendez shared that being a single mother was not easy. Recalling the hardships that she went through made her emotional.
“Di madali ung pinagdaanan ko para mapagtapos ko Anak ko yes on my own. Single mom ako dba . Not complaining. I remember there were days na i was lacking in terms of financial at that time, Mader Ogie Diaz somehow knows my story,” she shared.
One thing that was also difficult for her to deal with was the emotional and mental health of Andre back then. She also said that she has set her mind that she will do anything in order to send Andre to college and that she will see him graduate someday.
The actress also said that her closest friends in the industry knew what she has been through financially. Aiko Melendez said that she would accept projects one after the other in order to earn money.
She did not forget to thank all the people who showed love and support for her and her family during that hard times.
