4 More Tourists of Boracay Found with Fake RT-PCR Test Results, QR Codes
Boracay local government units (LGUs) intercepted four (4) more tourists after learned that they present fake RT-PCR test results and QC codes.
Four tourists were discovered fabricating Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests and QR codes at Tabon Port in Caticlan, putting an end to their ostensibly blissful bonding on the beautiful island of Boracay.
They were added to the seven tourists previously captured, according to Aklan Provincial Administrator and spokesperson for the province’s Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), lawyer Selwyn Ibaretta. The four forged not only RT-PCR but also QR codes, according to Ibaretta.

The QR code is received once a tourist gets a negative RT-PCR test within 72 hours of departure, has a hotel reservation, a government ID, and has registered with the S-PaSS (Safe, Swift, and Smart Passage) online travel system.
The four are believed to be from the National Capital Region (NCR), and are currently in Kalibo for a swab test. The Malay Municipal Police Station (MPS) or the Department of Transportation (DOT) can file a complaint against them, according to Ibaretta.
Authorities had earlier arrested seven (7) tourists from Boracay Island after they were intercepted entering the island with fake RT-PCR test results. Seven travelers allegedly submitted a COVID-19 test upon arrival on Boracay Island, however, the validation team discovered that the test results they used were fakes.
