36 Foreign Nationals Working in Illegal Gambling in Pasay City Arrested
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has arrested 36 undocument foreign nationals involved in illegal online casino in Pasay City.
At Double Dragon Plaza Tower 3 in Pasay City, the BI arrested 36 foreigners working for unregistered online gaming firms. According to Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, there have been reports of foreigners working in the area without the required permits.
“We coordinated with PAGCOR and verified that this company is unlicensed and has no authority to operate,” Morente said.

Two Chinese nationals, two Indonesians, and 32 Koreans were among those detained. After the negative results of their RT-PCR tests are received, the arrested foreigners will be detained at the Immigration warden facility in Taguig City.
The organization was also reportedly discovered to be performing illegal live studio gambling, according to Intelligence Chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. They caught 40 people, but only four of them were found to be adequately registered as permanent residents of the country.
The other 36, on the other hand, were found working illegally because they were unable to present their passports and visas. Morente then warned illegal aliens not to use the pandemic as an excuse to engage in criminal activity.
“Despite the challenges, our work never stops, and we will continue to arrest, deport, and blacklist any alien who dares to disobey our laws,” he said.
