Senator Panfilo Lacson finally faces the media after more than a year of absence.

As promised, Senator Panfilo Lacson finally faces the public after taking more than a year of silence thanking the media for respecting his privacy over the weekend when he was able to spend time with his family.

He considered that time to be a “Christmas in March” saying it had been the best time he had with his loved ones.

Two days before the Manila court issued him a warrant of arrest, he already left the country dated January 5, 2010.

The issued warrant was in connection with the Dacer-Corbito double murder case that was filed against him. He mentioned that he was made to suffer for the crime that he didn’t commit.

Senator Lacson stated during his press conference that with the span of 13 months, he wasn’t able to feel the presence of those who stand to be in the current administration which is under President Benigno Aquino III.

His friends under the said administration didn’t help him when he was away. All he felt were the ongoing prosecutions even when the Aquino regime took over.

He stayed in a safe house where he was able to do household chores like cooking and washing the dishes for his own.

He comes out of his safe house frequently making it sure that he will be along with his bodyguards.

Though there were times that people would ask to take a picture with him, he made it sure to hide from those agents who tries to look for him.

He stands for a rule that tells him to be careful “not to get caught”.

Meanwhile, Lacson tries to get updates by the checking online news.

A petition for review will be filed by the Lawyer of Carina Dacer, Demetrio Custodio, to review the resolution made by the Court of Appeals regarding his case.

Lacson on the other hand agrees on the action saying that he will accept the Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of the Dacers.

Furthermore, Lacson stated that he is willing to accept the proposal that a reinvestigation about the said case will be conducted by the Department of Justice.
