BANNED ROYAL DOCUMENTARY LEAKED – If you’re a fan of Netflix’s “The Crown“, then you’d probably want to see the actual events of the monarchy transpire.

It’s not uncommon for a documentary to be done on famous families. However, what piques the interest of many is the fact that this certain documentary was banned after it initially aired about 50 years ago.

Now, the question everyone asks is “why was it banned”? Along with this, another good question to ask is “Why was the documentary made in the first place?”.

According to some, the documentary was supposedly Prince Philipp’s idea of to humanize the Royal Family. Still, it’s unclear what the exact reason of the ban was. But, Queen Elizabeth II herself said she regretted allowing cameras into her home.

The 1972 documentary called “Royal Family”, was first aired on BBC. The film showed Her Majesty doing ordinary things such as getting groceries and watching television.

In addition, there’s still a sense of banter found in your regular drama/reality shows. In one of the scenes, the Monarch reportedly compared the U.S. Ambassador to a gorilla.

“There was a gorilla. I had the most terrible trouble … he had a short body, long arms“, the PA Media quoted the Queen.

Likewise, Princess Anne, the Queen’s daughter, also shared her negative thoughts regarding the film: “I never liked the idea of the royal family film. I always thought it was a rotten idea“.

But, after 50 years, the banned film was mysteriously uploaded to YouTube and just as quickly as it did, got banned for “copyright”. According to BBC, the leak came after the film became a topic in an episode of “The Crown”.

Although the film was banned on YouTube, Redditors managed to grab a copy of the film.
