Noel Cabangon and Bamboo Manalac are currently spearheading relief efforts for the victims of the worst earthquake the hits the Philippines in 25 years, the 7.2 magnitude tremor that affected the island of Cebu and Bohol on Tuesday.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, Noel Cabangon revealed that she is working with actor Cesar Montano in mounting a mini-concert later this month for their relief effort. Cesar Montano is known to be a local celebrity from the Province of Bohol, he was also instrumental in featuring Loboc River in one of his films.
According to Cabangon his team of celebrities is working on an immediate concert for the needs of the earthquake victims in Bohol and Cebu. Actress Bianca Manalo said that she is taking part in a religious organization’s relief operations for those affected by the disaster.
Former Rivermaya frontman, Bamboo Manalac who is currently in the United States is looking forward to gathering pledges of support for the quake victims from the Filipinos living in the US.
The recently awarded winner of “The Voice of the Philippines,” Mitoy Yonting, also shared his sentiments about the calamity in the Visayas, Yonting is also a native of Cebu province.
The island of Bohol and Cebu are the worst affected areas of the 7.2 earthquake that hits the Philippines on October 15, 2013 at around 8:00 in the morning devastating some of the most well-known tourist spots and various establishments located in the two island province.
