What are the important points in Netflix’s Lupin Review?
Lupin Review – Netflix has recently released a limited series that is based on a classic literary character and here is how actor Omar Sy portrayed the role of Assane Diop.
Based on a series of books written by Maurice Leblanc back in 1905, Lupin is characterized as a gentleman who is known for his top hat and monocle, based on the article published in Fred Said.
Growing up, teenager Assane Diop was a big fan of Arsene Lupin since the time that his father introduced the book series to him.
Assane’s father Babakar, played by Fargass Assandre, was accused by his employer Hubert Pellegrini, played by Herve Pierre, of stealing a necklace that worth a fortune. Babakar was forced to write a confession that he stole it and then hanged himself in his prison cell.
Twenty five years passed and Assane has grown into a man who is equipped with multiple physical, mental and technical skills. He has formulated an elaborate plan to still the same necklace that his father allegedly stole after it was recovered by the Pellegrinis and put for auction at the Louvre.
Based on Fred Said Lupin Review, the performance of Omar Sy in this limited series is very fitting as he embodied the character he admire – Arsene Lupin. He was “charismatic and winsome”.
Sy also has a remarkable chemistry with co-star Ludivine Sagnier who played as his ex-partner Claire. The rapport of the lead character with his son Raoul, played by Etan Simon, is also commendable. This part of the series that involved the persons in the life of Assane gave its heart.
Another point that viewers should watch out is how someone like Omar Sy who is 6’3’’ in height can easily get away from security measures as he is doing his plan to steal the necklace.
